Cover letter generator

Under 250 words, built from what is actually on your resume and what the posting actually asks for. No “I am writing to apply for”, no enthusiasm padding, and nothing invented.

Cover letters are part of Pro

Generated from your actual resume and the specific posting — never generic, and never inventing achievements you do not have.

What makes a cover letter work

Most are skimmed in seconds or skipped entirely, because most are interchangeable. The ones that get read do three things: they open with a specific thing the candidate actually did, they connect it to a need the posting states, and they prove somebody read about the company.

The generator is constrained to that structure and explicitly forbidden from inventing achievements. If it cannot find something in your resume, it leaves a square-bracket placeholder rather than making something up — because you are the one who has to defend every claim in the interview.

When not to send one

If the application does not ask for a cover letter and gives you no field for it, skip it. A generic letter attached where none was requested is worse than none at all. Spend the time tailoring your resume’s top third instead — that is the part that decides whether you get read.
